Can I have more than one pay rate?

Yes! You have the ability to set and use an Additional Rate. Some employers will use this rate when their employee works overnight or watches more than one child.

If the rate or hours vary per pay period, you can enter them each time in the Payroll area by clicking on Edit Payroll after logging in to your account.

If the amount and hours will always be the same, you can set it as a Default Setting.
To do this, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your Poppins account.

2. Click on Employees on the left-hand side of the screen.

3. Click on View Details.

4. From the Information tab, click on Edit in the Payment Settings area. 

5. Enter the default rate and hours for the Additional Rate.

6. Click on Save Changes.

We also have an Other Amount area in the Payroll tab that you can use for a flat rate. For example, if your employee is paid $100 each night they stay over, you can enter that into the Other Amount area of the Payroll tab!
