How do I cancel my services?
These are the steps to close your account on the Poppins website:
- Go to the Payroll area and make any necessary adjustments to your employee’s last payroll. Any amounts listed in the payroll will be paid to your employee even after your account is terminated. We always recommend waiting until your employee's last working day is shown in the date range of the payroll tab!
- Go to Employees, click the three dots, and then choose Remove Employee and enter your employee's termination date. This cannot be a date in the past.
- Finally, go to Settings, choose the Billing section, and click on Cancel Account and enter a termination date. This cannot be a date in the past.

- You have the option to elect current quarter and year-end services. These services are included for active clients and are optional add-on services when you cancel the account.
- If you elect these services, we will charge $49 for the quarter-end reporting and $110 for year-end reporting and document preparation, but you will no longer pay the monthly fee.
- If you terminate your account without having us perform quarter-end and year-end services, you will still be liable to submit quarter-end taxes yourself.

Note: You will continue to have access to your documents and payroll history after you terminate your account and you will still be able to log in!
If your situation changes in the future and you need our service again, you can always reactivate your account online! Please note we charge a fee of $20 to reinstate an account as we have to close your state account(s) when you leave and reopen them when you return.
