When it is time for your employee's first payday, there are some important things to know about their paystub. First, you will have access to all of your employee's paystubs under the Filing Cabinet>Payroll where you can view/download a pdf of any paystub you desire.
Tip: If you need to change your employee's email, click the Settings tab, Employee Info, and the Edit button next to General Info.
Here’s a convenient summary of the info in your employee’s paystub:
Earnings
This section of the paystub is where your employee's gross wages will be displayed. This will show the rates of pay, including overtime (if applicable) and any reimbursements. You will also see any sick time or paid time off used during this pay period. The last column shows your employee’s year-to-date numbers to track gross wages paid in a calendar year.
Deductions
This section is where any payroll tax deductions for your employee will be displayed. Your employee's net pay will be displayed at the bottom of this section.
Note: Any employer tax deductions will not be displayed on the employee's paystub.
Paid Time Off / Sick Time Off Policy
If you have a paid time off/sick time off policy setup for your employee, this will be displayed as the last section of the paystub. Your employee will be able to see hours available before this pay period, hours used this period, hours accrued this period, and their remaining balance.
