Everything you need to know about your employee's paystub
When it is time for your employee's first payday, there are some important things to know about their paystub!
First, you will have access to all of the paystubs under the Payroll area, where you can view/download a PDF of any paystub you desire. If you have multiple employees, you can use the dropdown menu to select one employee at a time.
We will automatically email your employee a copy of their paystub on each pay date to the email you have on file for them.
Tip: If you need to change your employee's email, click Employees on the left-hand side of the screen, and then click View Details. Once there, click Edit in the Personal Information area to update your employee's email address.
Here’s a convenient summary of the info in your employee’s paystub:
Earnings
This section of the paystub is where your employee's gross wages will be displayed. This will show the rates of pay, including overtime (if applicable) and any reimbursements. You will also see any sick time or paid time off used during this pay period. The last column shows your employee’s year-to-date numbers to track gross wages paid in a calendar year.
Deductions
This section is where any payroll tax deductions for your employee will be displayed. Your employee's net pay will be displayed at the bottom of this section.
Note: Employer tax deductions will not be displayed on the employee's paystub. You can view these under the Taxes area on the left-hand side of the screen. You can click on Federal Taxes or State & Local Taxes to see a breakdown of the amounts by employee and employer.
Paid Time Off / Sick Time Off Policy
If you have a paid time off/sick time off policy set up for your employee, this will be displayed as the last section of the paystub. Your employee will be able to see hours available before this pay period, hours used this period, hours accrued this period, and their remaining balance.
