How can I get proof that my taxes were paid?

For your federal taxes, the IRS has a website called Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS) that you can use to see payments made under your SSN.

Everything is electronic, so you can either:

We prefer enrolling in EFTPS because it is ongoing, so you will be able to see all payments made by anyone (not just Poppins) related to your SSN (versus being for just one year, like the get transcript function).

We can also pull a confirmation number for the EFTPS payment that we sent to the IRS for you, but the EFTPS system allows you to see the payment made, too!
