What is in the Settings area?
This area allows you to change your personal information, payment information, view invoices, cancel your account, and adjust your notification settings. These options are broken down into three areas: General, Billing, and Notifications.
If you need to update your name, SSN, or location address, please reach out to our team directly.
Changing your name or SSN has tax implications that will prevent us from filing your taxes properly.
General
This area allows you to make edits to your personal information, like your name, spouse's info, and even your account login information! This is also where you will see any account numbers we have for you!
Account Information - This is where you can update your name, phone number, email, password, or login info!
Note: If you update your email address, you will be sent an email to verify that address. You will need to click on the link in that email before the new address is effective in the Poppins system.
Tax Settings - This is where we will display your account numbers and tax rates. This is also where you can set up your spouse's information.
Identity Data -This is where you can go through the Plaid process again to update your SSN. This should not be done without discussing with our team first.
Billing
This is where you can update the bank account listed under your profile, review your monthly charges, and download an invoice for services paid to Poppins.
Payment Information - This is where you can update your banking details. You can link your account through Plaid or enter it manually. We will use this account for your monthly service fee, your taxes, and--if you pay direct deposit--your employee's payroll.
Note: You are not able to use a debit or credit card; we must have a checking account on file in order to pull taxes accurately.
Monthly Service Plan - This is where you will see the total monthly charge for your Poppins account. This is also where you can cancel your account. Please see our article titled "How do I cancel my services?" for instructions on how to cancel your service with Poppins.
Billing History - This is where you can download any monthly service fee invoices for your monthly charges.
Notifications
This is where you can change your notification preferences. You can either mute the notifications or choose to receive email reminders. We recommend receiving these emails to ensure you don't miss any tax withdrawal emails, or payroll update reminders!
